Six people transforming the way they travel
By Jodie Peachey
My mantra has become:
Want a bike, want a bike, want a bike
So far I have only managed to get two buses. I wasn’t allowed on the first bus I tried to get because I didn’t have the correct change. Running late for university and with the nearest shop to get change looking really busy, I decided to take my chances and walk. However, I had my cat shoes on which are very pretty but turned out to be very impractical.
The shoes have survived, just, no thanks to the unavoidable enormous puddle that had been pumped into the middle of the road halfway along my route. Since then I have been wearing a pair of trainers, but now I have got a blister on the heel of my foot, ouch.
Apart from these little mishaps I am loving travelling differently. I feel I have more energy and want to do more with my time. All I need to do now is get myself more organised and it can only get better and better.
